Shawn Siegele dives into the prospect profiles for the 2026 NFL draft and ranks his top-40 fantasy prospects for dynasty superflex leagues.
I’m very biased, of course, but I’m also proud of our dynasty content in recent seasons. If you’ve purchased the rookie guides and followed the Perpetual Reloading series, you’ve won a lot of titles in the FFPC RV TriFlex leagues and similar formats. Dominating the rookies has plenty of carry-over effects in best ball and redraft as well.
I’ll have another entry in the dynasty strategy series next week — ahead of 2026 rookie drafts — and I’ll have a look at rookie-draft-specific tactics in Vol. 3 of the Rookie Guide. But today, I wanted to take a final pre-draft look at the 2026 rookie class, diving deep into the Box Score Scout, Prospect Workout Explorer, Prospect Labs, Sports Info Solutions advanced stats, NextGen insights, and more.
In this piece I’m trying to pull together an image of each player that allows us to understand individual collegiate paths and likely future NFL scenarios. I’ll divide the top prospects into six tiers and rank the 40 most valuable players.
Going through this exercise helps me better calibrate before the draft so that I overreact less during and in the immediate aftermath. It’s also my hope that it can function as a resource and cheat sheet as you’re processing the draft from both a reality and fantasy perspective.
Get even more insights on these 40 players and over 50 more with the 2026 RotoViz Rookie Draft Guide. Volume 2 is out now and Volume 3 — featuring up-to-date rankings, rookie mock drafts, and more — will be released shortly after the draft.
