Garbage Time Points Matter, Just Not as Much

In this post I’ll do some quick analysis to both show the functionality of our new Screener app, and also answer a commonly asked question in fantasy circles: is garbage time scoring reliable from year to year? First let me define how I intend to look at that question. I’m just going to call garbage time fantasy scoring any points scored while a team is trailing. That’s a really broad definition of garbage time fantasy scoring and someone else might take a more narrow view of the issue. But that’s how I’m looking at it. Then I’ll call fantasy points…...

Wisdom of the Sharks – Who Do High Stakes Players Like in Startup Dynasty Drafts?

In this post I’ll look at dynasty startup ADP data from our friends at the FFPC. If you aren’t familiar, FFPC recently launched some mid-stakes dynasty leagues where you can enter for $250 (along with a deposit for the following year in case you totally tank your team and bail on the league). FFPC runs fun contests with two flex spots and TE premium scoring so they’re a natural for anyone looking for a challenge that might be a little more dynamic than a $50 home dynasty league. One thing that is becoming increasingly apparent in 2016 is that WRs are…...

Wisdom of the Sharks – Who Do High Stakes Players Like in Rookie Drafts?

The FFPC recently opened up a new group of dynasty leagues at the $250 buy in level, which I suspect will appeal to a lot more casual dynasty players. For that reason, I think that our readers might become increasingly interested in ADP trends in the FFPC format. We’re always hoping to give our readers an extra leg up, so I’ll provide semi-regular updates to FFPC Dynasty ADP through some articles. While the $250 leagues that are launching this year won’t have a rookie draft until 2017, the FFPC has an off-season cut-down to 16 players (including a kicker and defense)…...

RGIII is Not a Running Quarterback, per Robert Griffin

Source: The Puzzling Plummet of RGIII Griffin instructed the coaches to let him speak uninterrupted and rolled through a list of grievances, stressing that substantive changes had to occur immediately. Scrap the pass protection scheme and start over, Griffin demanded. There were 19 plays — primarily those from the 50-series and quarterback draws — that were unacceptable. Griffin, who supported his presentation with video clips of each play, expected them to be deleted from the playbook. Bottom line, Griffin said, he was a drop-back quarterback — not a running quarterback. This event is reported to have happened after the 2012…...

Sammy Watkins and Tyrod Taylor Benefited from Midseason Change

Source: How London changed everything and brought Bills’ Taylor, Watkins together – Story “We spent some time talking a lot in London. We were actually getting treatment at the same time, so we actually spent a lot of time talking and getting on the same page,” Taylor told WGR. “When it was time to come back on the field for both of us, we would talk through a lot of things. I remember coming off the bye week and actually throwing some with him and just trying to get on the same page, and understanding that he’s one of the…...

Paul Richardson Has Draft Pedigree and is Basically Free

Source: Paul Richardson could provide another boost to Seahawks WR corps Richardson seems to get lost in the shuffle, but he’s worked diligently to return to 100% health. He’s posted numerous videos to his Instagram account (prich10) showing his offseason workouts with QB Russell Wilson. He looks quick, fast, strong, and ready. Fluid and field fast.If Richardson is indeed poised for a complete 16-game 2016 season, he provides a dangerous additional weapon for Wilson to compliment Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett. Another explosive deep threat to open things up for Graham and the stable of versatile, young, pass-catching running backs (C.J…....
