Kevin Szafraniec uses historical data from RotoViz’s Best Ball Win Rate Explorer to help uncover actionable insights for drafters to implement in their 2026 FFPC Superflex Best Ball Tournament drafts.

Last month, we used the Best Ball Win Rate Explorer (WRE) and the Roster Construction Explorer (RCE) to unearth historical trends to help maximize our win rates in the FFPC’s Best Ball Tournament. This time around, we will take a similar approach, with a focus on the FFPC’s Superflex Best Ball Tournament.

Just like last time, we will kick things off by looking at historical win rates by draft slot, win rate heat maps by position, and a review of the league-winning players since 2020. In the subsequent installments, we’ll dive deeper into each position individually, discuss stacking strategies, and wrap things up by incorporating all of the strategies we’ve covered into a real-world draft.

With all of that being said, it’s important to note that just because a strategy has worked in the past doesn’t mean it will translate to the unique ADP environment 2026 is offering us. However, history can provide us with guidelines for future drafts and suggestions when we’re at a crossroads.

For the first entry in the series, we will be focusing solely on the wealth of information available in the WRE. In order to replicate the scoring settings of the FFPC Superflex Best Ball Tournament, we will be looking at superflex slim drafts from the past six years. (Slim data in the Win Rate Explorer only goes back to 2020, but there is information on classic-style leagues going back to 2017.)

For those who may be unfamiliar with the FFPC Superflex Best Ball Tournament, each draft consists of 20 rounds, and starting rosters feature one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end, one traditional flex spot, and one superflex spot. Scoring settings are TE-premium, meaning TEs are awarded 1.5 points per reception while every other position operates under normal PPR scoring.
